Terms of Service

1. Overview

By booking services with The Working Class, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure the safety, structure, and well-being of all dogs in our care, and to maintain the standards required for working and high-drive breeds.

2. Services Provided

We offer structured dog boarding, training, and enrichment services tailored specifically to high-drive and working breeds. All dogs are handled in a controlled environment with a strong emphasis on routine, clear communication, and purposeful activity.

3. Dog Eligibility Requirements

  • Is up-to-date on vaccinations (rabies, DHPP, etc.)
  • Is in good general health
  • Does not have a history of unprovoked aggression (unless disclosed and approved)
  • Is not currently contagious or ill

We reserve the right to refuse or remove any dog that presents a safety risk or is not a good fit for our environment.

4. Behavioral Disclosure

You agree to fully disclose any known behavioral issues, including but not limited to:

  • Aggression (dog or human)
  • Resource guarding
  • Separation anxiety
  • Escape tendencies

Failure to disclose behavioral concerns may result in immediate termination of services without refund.

5. Trial & Assessment

All new dogs may be subject to a trial period or evaluation prior to approval for extended boarding or training. This allows us to assess temperament, stability, and compatibility with our structured program.

6. Health & Emergency Care

  • We will attempt to contact you immediately
  • If unreachable, you authorize us to seek veterinary care on your behalf
  • You accept full financial responsibility for any medical treatment required

7. Owner Responsibility

  • Dogs participate at their own risk
  • Training methods are structured and may include appropriate tools for working breeds
  • Results are not guaranteed and depend on consistency beyond our care

8. Training Methods & Tools

Our training approach is built around clarity, accountability, and communication. Depending on the dog and program, we may utilize tools including:

  • Slip leads
  • Prong collars
  • Remote (e-collar) systems

By using our services, you acknowledge and consent to the use of these tools in a professional, safe, and controlled manner.

9. Structured Environment & Routine

  • Scheduled crate time for decompression and safety
  • Place work and duration-based settling
  • Controlled socialization (not unrestricted play)
  • Structured exercise and purposeful outings

This is not a free-roam or unstructured environment. Dogs are expected to operate within clear boundaries that support long-term behavioral stability.

10. High-Drive Breed Acknowledgment

You acknowledge that your dog is a high-drive or working-type breed (or mix) with needs that differ from typical pet dogs.

Our services are designed to channel drive into productive behaviors—not to suppress it.

11. No Daycare Chaos Policy

  • No large, uncontrolled group play
  • No chaotic or overstimulating environments
  • No “pack free-for-all” interactions

All interactions are intentional, supervised, and based on compatibility and control.

12. Payment & Cancellation

  • Payment terms agreed upon prior to service
  • Cancellations require advance notice (typically 48 hours)
  • Late cancellations may incur partial or full charges

13. Liability Waiver

  • Injury, illness, or death of your dog (except gross negligence)
  • Damage caused by your dog to property, people, or other animals

14. Media Release

You grant permission for photos and videos of your dog to be used for marketing or social media unless you opt out in writing.

15. Abandonment

Dogs not picked up within the agreed timeframe, and without communication, may be considered abandoned and handled in accordance with local laws.

16. Agreement

By booking services with The Working Class, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
